. 57 down in fredericksburg. we'll broaden this picture and show you for the eastern united states, there is older air out the to the north. 47 in new york city and still morning temperatures in the 0s across northern portions of new england. here is a look at the satellite- radar for the eastern u.s. there is your area of low pressure. you see that spin in the yer there. so the rain showers are coming in from our south-southwest and that will continue to be the track. the heaviest rain right now off the coast of the carolinas. we can't rule out a thunderstorm popping up here or there this afternoon or maybe even tonight as well and rather than a steady rain all day, it will be these bands of rain that will be coming through for today. surface map, here is what we're looki at. first of all, high pressure across the north slowly pushing off to the north and east. there is your frontal system. it is a warm front to the south. then the cold front comes through here. for tomorrow, we'll see milder temperatures behind that front with highs into the low 60s, around 60 degrees or low 60s.
